Could you tell us more about the key motives to apply for the participation in the ADRIA Internship Programme in 2020?
The main motive for applying to the ADRIA Internship programme was the possibility to improve the knowledge acquired during studies and the opportunity to apply it. Also, one of the motives was to improve my ability to adapt to different circumstances, team and supervisors. I think that the ADRIA internship programme is a great opportunity to start a career.
Did you have any expectations before you started with the internship implementation and were they met by your host-organisation?
I didn't have any big expectations, except that I learn something new and that everything passes in good atmosphere. The experience surpassed it.
Would you recommend the programme to other students? What will you take with you as the most valuable experience gained through the internship?
I would recommend them not to miss a chance to participate in this programme, because it is a great experience - seeing and working in the real sector, which is something we do not have much chance to experience during the studies, although it important for us in the years to come. I would say that the most valuable experience gained through the internship is that now I feel more confident about what awaits me in the future and know better how to approach work.
How difficult was the transition from the theoretical „faculty“ knowledge to facing very specific and real professional challenges in the host-organisation?
To be honest, it took some time to adjust, but I was given the opportunity to learn through their numerous experiences and guidelines. Everything was much better than I could have expected.
Where do you see yourself professionally in the next 3-5 years?
My current plan is to finish the studies, find out what would suit me the best and develop my career in that direction. I certainly hope for the best and I sincerely believe it will come true.
Thank you Nataša, we are hoping to see your application also in 2021!
