ANTEA Cement is one of the largest manufacturers of building materials and applies the highest international standards in Albania. The integrated operations of ANTEA Cement Plant include two cement terminals, in Tirana and Ortona. The cement plant is located 50 km from the capital city, Tirana, and is positioned in Boka e Kuqe, Borizanë.
The plant serves primarily local market demands and exports to other markets in the region. Since the foundation of the ANTEA cement plant, corporate social responsibility and sustainability have been embedded in business strategy and provided the framework to build relations with all key stakeholders.
From the initial stages of operation, ANTEA applies international standards and best practices to improve on all sustainability issues that are material for the business but also for the stakeholders. Among else, we have built appropriate systems to ensure energy management and efficiency, while the implementation of an integrated approach to environmental management has led to achieve best industry practices in various aspects, as for example enriching biodiversity, new environmental technologies for controlling and reducing air emissions, noise, and other specific impacts.
